About Friends of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps World War II

This volunteer group was formed in 2018 to pass the legislation to honor members of the Cadet Nurse Corps. 2018 bipartisan legislation, "U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps Service Recognition Act." Bipartisan bills were introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives & U.S. Senate in late 2018, but no action was taken on them before Congress ended. In April 2019, both the U.S. House and Senate re-introduced the bills. They failed to get out of committee. In April 2021, these bills were tweaked and reintorduced. There is NO financial or VA medial benefits. Burial at Arlington Cemetery is EXCLUDED. These women of the Greatest Generation only request to be remembered as Honorary WWII Veterans with an American flag and a gravesite plaque forever marking their proud service to our country during wartime in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps.
